SleepMapper is an app that is used together with Philips Smart Sleep a headband that monitors and improves your sleep or with Philips Somneo, sleep and wake up light, a smart wake up light that helps to fall asleep and waking up.

Service Proposition

The Application is an application that enables an easier use and for two Philips devices:  the Philips Somneo Sleep and Wake Up Light and the Smart Sleep headband. It allows to control the devices from the phone and especially enables to read and analyse the users sleep data. Further, it provides help and information on a healthy sleep.

SmartSleep and SleepMapper app are already available on the market. 

 

HOW DOES SOMNEO WORK

Somneo Sleep and Wake Up Light.

The Somneo Sleep and WakeUp Light is a Light that wakes the user softly with light and sound as well as helps him/her falling asleep with different programs that use light and sound such as 'Relax breathe' and 'Sunset'.

HOW DOESSMARTSLEEP WORK

SmartSleep headband

SmartSleep is a headband that deepens the REM sleep phases of the user and makes them longer. This allows users with sleeping problems to have a better deeper sleep.

HOW DID WE WORK IN THIS PROJECT AND WHAT WAS MY ROLE

Process and way of Working

I worked with 4 other designers, UX and visual and the implementation team in Eindhoven at the Philips headquarter in Eindhoven. We worked also together with implementation teams in Amsterdam and Bangalore and with the device designers and technologists in Drachten. My tasks were understanding the technology, designing new features and improving flows and old features together with visual design and different implementation teams. I was responsible for the data tab, easy wifi setup, contextual and sleep information and consent. I worked for 1 year on the project
