MY EXPERIENCE, MY EXPERTISE, WHAT DRIVES ME,  WHAT DO I LIKE...

About Me

I am passionate about user research, UX-  and service design, however also have a background in industrial design. I see myself as a problem solver rather than fitting in a specific job description. I use the means necessary to approach each challenge.  I love solving difficult problems and mapping out complex processes to make them simpler.

Topics I am specifically interested in and working on are: bridging the gap between service design and the scrum team, design for behaviour change, design for the social domain, design for cultural differences and how does our profession change with AI.

Living in many different countries made me aware of cultural differences and that they should be taken into consideration when designing for different cultural backgrounds.  Together with colleagues I studied different approaches to cultural dimensions (e.g Hofstede, Meyer, Cyr) and am working on guidelines for designing for different cultural backgrounds. I gave a talk about this topic at UX Camp Amsterdam with Bindu Upadhyay.
